Spanish Music Review

This month I managed to stumble across some Spanish-speaking artists and I was surprised at what I found.  I listened to Axel Fernando - ¿Qué estás buscando?, and I was surprised as to how much I understood the languange while he was singing. Apparently, he is a very popular singer in Argentina. His music, compared to Andy Andy - Maldito Amor was very different in vocal accent and in musical style. Axel pronounced his words very clearly, and the music was very mainstream/indie appeal. The song 'Andy Andy' had a more carribean feel to his music. In 'Maldito Amor' there was a faster, more slurred Spanish accent that was harder to follow than in Axel Fernando's song. Also, it was different musically because there were bongos and very reggae kind of style, versus Axel whose song was very pop-rock sounding. (And consequently enough, 'Andy Andy' is an artist from the Dominican Republic)

So two spanish artists, two completely different styles of music. They were both good, but I prefered Axel's voice and style of music. I guess I prefer Argentinian singers to Caribbean.
