Actividad de Octubre-- Finding Nemo

For my Octobre activity, I watched finding Nemo twice. The first time was with Spanish subtitles and English voice over. This was very good, as it allowed me to understand every scene in the movie, and read its english version at the same time. I then watched it in, as previously mentionned, full spanish audio and subtitles.This was good for the accent, but at the same time a little bit annoying, because if there was a scene that you could not or did not understand, there was no way of figuring it out, short of pausing it and pulling out a dictionary. Therefore, I strongly believe that watching it in English with Spanish subtitles is both better for your enjoyment and your Spanish learning skills.

Masa Mexicana

Yo fui en mi iglesia por una masa espanol. Hay muchos mexicanos en Waterdown. Mi iglesia se llama Sao Tomé. Yo canté en espanol y oré en espanol. Un otro día, yo ayudé una cosas mexicanas de hallazgo de hombre en la tienda de abarrotes.

Amazing Director

I was wondering what movies to watch in spanish or from Spanish culture, and I came by some very interesting movies that I recommend others to see. First, there is 'El espinazo del Diablo' writen and directed by the same person, Guillermo del Toro. He is a fascinating scriprwriter, director and producer; he produced blockbuster movies movies such as Pan's Laborynth, Hell Boy, Kung Fu Panda, El orfanato (The Orphan), and many more. Some of his movies, such as El orfanato and Pan's Laborynth are spanish in origin. He is Mexican; born and raised in Guadalajara in a strict catholic household. He produced many comic-book based movies such as the Hellboy franchise, and was actually offered to direct and produce major blockbuster films such as The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, and I Am Legend (to name a few) Regretfully, he denied these opportunities instead so he could produce Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy II. His most acclaimed works are set in Spain in the context of the Spanish Civil war, under the rule of Francisco Franco. These two films, El espinazo del diablo (The Devil's Backbone) and El laberinto del fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) are among some of his most critically acclaimed works. He had the potential to direct many of common popular movies, however instead chose to take his own creativity into his own pieces, which have won him countless awards, even Oscars for his work; the fruits of his labor payed off in the end.

Interesting Fact: Did you know that he designed all the, monsters, creatures, and beings for the movie 'Pan's Labyrinth'? He drew, carved and animated the entire movie, consequently winning himself an Oscar for his achievements in the special effects in Pan's Labyrinth.

Pan's Labyrinth

Pan's Labyrinth es una película española de miedo. En 1944, un chica se llamaba Ofelia fue a Navarra con su madre. Su madre se casó un hombre malo. Su madre es embarazada con su hermano. Ofelia encontrado un hada cerca de un árbol, y el hada seguido a ella y su madre a su casa. 

Ofelia encontrado un fauno también, y él la dio un libro. Él le dijo que matar un sapo, recuperar una daga, y llevar su hermano del laberinto. Su madre murió, y el hombre malo murió también. El final es interesante y recomiendo verlo.
