La Oreja de Van Gogh

'La Oreja de Van Gogh' is a Latin Grammy award winning band from Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain. Their music can be described as Spanish-Basque pop - a unique style to the Spanish music with a modern twist. The band's name, translated 'The Ear of Van Gogh' pays tribute to the impressionist painter who cut of his own lobe of the left ear. Although people considered him mentally unstable, that was a common misconception - he was one of the most celebrated and world renowned artists even to this day. The bands name holds connection to that: their music is unique and original, just like Van Gogh was. Their poetic songs, including the music and lyrics are written mainly by the band members Pablo Benegas, Xabi San Martin and Amaia Montero. The band was formed while the members were still in college, and by 1998 they recorded their first album which proved to be a huge success. With their rescent album they have sold over 6 million copies worldwide, and they are climbing the popularity charts in Europe and Latin-American countries.

Some of my favourite songs:

For my activity, I decided to do 3 Yablas.
They were all small discussions about everyday life in Espana and I thought they were very good.

These Yablas are vey very helpful for learning Spanish and greatly contribute to both understanding and accent.

They were also loads of fun to do, and I got scores between 80-100.

Bárbara Muñoz is from Chilie, an actress that also debuted her own song. 'Mientame' is translated "Lie to me", and this is one of her top popular songs.

Enrique Bunbury, a big name in rock en español. The Spaniard was the lead singer of the classic rock bandHéroes del Silencio for 12 years. When the group disbanded in 1996, Bunbury began his solo career. “Frente a frente”—a cover of the song first recorded by Euro-pop star Jeanette in 1981—is the first single from Bunbury’s 2010 albumLas Consecuencias.

cuello,...),
- Costillas de cerdo troceadas,
- Conejo (Costillas, patas, etc.),
- Judias verdes y blancas (o habichuelas),
- Un pimiento rojo (a trozos grandes. 4 trozos por pimiento),
- Arroz,
- Azafran,
- Caldo de pollo o agua (caliente)
- 1 tomate troceado,
- 2 dientes de ajo,
- Pimenton rojo (no picante)
- Aceite
- Sal

Preparacion :
